MY LAX STORY

I started playing lacrosse when I was 6 years old, I played for Roseville and then have been at Moundsview since 5th grade. I am a Senior midfielder going to play division 1 lacrosse at Mercyhurst University.

 

FAVORITE LAX MEMORY

Beating Irondale in section semi finals junior year.

 

MY FREE TIME

I enjoy wakesurfing at my cabin, hanging out with friends and family and playing golf.

 

FAVORITE SONG

My favorite artist is Travis Scott and my favorite song is "Astrothunder."

 

ADVICE

One tip I’d give to youth players is always show up. Showing up is not easy but it's half the battle.

 

EMBARRASING MOMENT

I hit a player once but I ended up breaking my wrist.​​

MY LAX STORY

I have had a stick in my hand my whole life. I started because my brother played and my cousins all played at the collegiate level. Since then I haven’t been able to put my stick down. I currently play at Hill-Murray and I play club with Lacrosse Monkey!

FAVORITE LAX MEMORY

My first varsity goal in 8th grade against Rosemount, then beating them.

MY FREE TIME

I spend a lot of time with friends, at practice, and studying.

 

FAVORITE SONG

My all time favorite artist is Lil Tjay, favorite song is Radio by Lana Del Ray 5.

 

ADVICE

My best tip to all youth players is to never doubt yourself, and always play with confidence. It is okay to make mistakes.

An embarrassing moment was and still is missing the shot on a break away.

MY LAX STORY

I got started after my head coach asked me to play at the start of my freshman year, I've only ever played goalie. I've now been starting for 2 years and about to start my fourth year. ​

Playing club during my junior year, I met a lot of people I'm now good friends with and I've learned a lot from them

I play board games with my family, and some video games with friends

ADVICE

Always enjoy and appreciate the game, it gets really competitive as you get older and it's really easy to let the pressure that comes with that to get to you

MY LAX STORY

I started playing lacrosse in eighth grade after watching my little brother play and thought it would be fun. I started out as a midfielder but switch to defense a week before my 14u tryouts for Mahtomedi. Something unique during my lacrosse career was going to UNC to play and got to stay in the campus dorms.

FAVORITE LAX MEMORY

Scoring a 60 yard goal against Mahtomedi in sections my sophomore year.

MY FREE TIME

In my free time I play hockey and soccer. I also like traveling to places I've never been with my family.

 

FAVORITE SONG & MOVIE

Bruno Mars and my favorite movie is "The Waterboy".

 

ADVICE

Don't be afraid to play different positions because you might like a position you never thought about playing.

 

EMBARRASING MOMENT

More than it should, during the High School season I will walk out of the locker room forgetting to put my jersey on and won't realize until I walk outside.

MY LAX STORY

I started playing in 4th grade as a defender in Forest Lake. The following year I tried out the goalie position and feel in love. I now am the starting varsity goalie at Forest Lake High School, and I play with the Minnesota Lakers year round.​

FAVORITE LAX MEMORY

Late night talks with my teammates in hotel rooms when we were supposed to be sleeping.

MY FREE TIME

I do puzzles, play with my 3 dogs and work out.

FAVORITE SONG & MOVIE

My favorite artist is Billie Eilish, whom I have seen twice in concert. My favorite movie is definitely Pitch Perfect.

ADVICE

Enjoy every moment you have on and off the field with teammates. The season and years go by quick.

EMBARRASING MOMENT

This year in Boston when a teammate of mine bet me I couldn't hit the crossbar with my head. So I jumped and of course hit my head, which gave me a terrible headache. My team still brings it up and laugh at me.

MY LAX STORY

I got started with lacrosse when I switched over from softball in 7th grade. I play attack. I played for two different high school teams.​

Getting my first varsity goal and the bus rides back from winning a game.​

I work at the Big Dipper ice cream shop!​

If you make a mistake the game will go on and you won't remember it after a few games.​

I didn't start playing lacrosse till my 8th grade year, starting late was challenging but I fell in love with the sport. I have always played mid and really enjoy the position.​

MY LAX STORY

My first experience with lacrosse was watching my cousins game in VA. I started playing with MVI and found myself having to play up all of the time because of the lower participation numbers. Which could be frustrating at times, I had to overcome many challenges but I’m very happy I stuck with it. I’ve played every position on the field but mainly midfield and attack. I now play and am a senior captain at Hill-Murray and I’m going to continue playing Division 1 lacrosse for the University of Detroit Mercy Titans!​

MY LAX STORY

I started playing lacrosse in 3rd grade. I decided to play because my two older brothers played and I wanted to try myself. I played for Mahtomedi and in 7th grade I switched to Gentry and played varsity lacrosse ever since. I started paying club lacrosse for Lacrosse Monkey in 6th grade and have continued to play for them. I just committed to playing division 1 lacrosse at Clemson University!​

I enjoy spending time with friends and my family, going on the lake and being with my dog!​

I started loving the sport due to my older sister playing and have been playing since i was 6 years old, I started playing for Stillwater association and now i am a midfielder at Gentry Academy.​

Making it to state my first year on varsity as a 7th grader and playing with my sister for 3 years.​

MY LAX STORY

Started because my brothers friend showed us what is was. We loved shooting around in his backyard. Decided to try it out and played for Woodbury youth lacrosse. Played club for True, Loons, and Team Minnesota. Now a captain at Hill-Murray. Been on varsity since 8th grade. ​

Scoring 4 goals in the first varsity game I started (we won 9-8 vs. Roseville).​

MY FREE TIME

I like to play golf, hunt, fish, and hangout with friends and family. Going to my cabin in Wisconsin.​

Find the fine line between taking it serious and having fun.​

Stepping out of the box during "keep it in" my sophomore year against mahtomedi. Still won 6-5 though.

I started playing lacrosse in Woodbury in 8U and actually started as and attackman, then once i got to about u12 i switched over to middie and have loved playing it ever since.  Now a junior at East Ridge High School.

MY LAX STORY

I followed in my brother’s footsteps and began playing right after he did. I tried every sport there was and nothing stuck. Once I tried lacrosse it was the only thing I wanted to do.

MY LAX STORY

I play at Mahtomedi and was a part of Team Minnesota during my club ball summers. I am a FOGO and a fun fact about that is I started taking face-offs my freshman year during tryouts as an attempt to make the high school team.

FAVORITE LAX MEMORY

I would say this past summer, when we won our last club tournament ever against some of the top teams in the country. The level of competition and the fact that it was our last go around as a team made it super super special.​

MY FREE TIME

Love being with my friends and family. I’m big into sports overall, so even outside of lacrosse, I like playing basketball, watching football, and I enjoy a good time fishing.
